Cathy’s Comments: This Cypress is a mobile liquid with a sweet-balsamic scent slightly similar to pine, juniper berry, and cardamom . The low notes are lasting and sweet. Cypress is a cooling astringent, useful for regulating the flow of blood. Peter Holmes, in The Energetics of Western Herbs, indicates that Cypress  regulates menstruation and menopause, and increases hormones. Cypress’s comprehensive action—endocrine, nerves, and tissue—can assist in harmonizing a number of gynecological conditions characterized by blood congestion, fluid congestion, and tension. It conveys a feeling of cohesion and stability: excellent for times of transition.
